ABOUT OHH DEER

Jamie Mitchell and Mark Callaby met at Kingston University in South London and both shared a love of all things creative. Ohh Deer began life as an illustration blog in 2010, it allowed them to remain creative in the evenings while working full time jobs, but what if Ohh Deer could become their full time job? Well that's where creating product came in.

The couple soon moved to Loughborough, where Jamie’s grandparents offered their attic as the first studio. Jamie had saved enough to pay rent for a while so he could work on the brand full-time, while Mark got a role at Nottingham Trent University to keep things stable. They launched a website in November 2011 and attended their first ever trade show (Spring Fair) which set in motion a whole series of exciting events! 

Ohh Deer expanded into cards, stationery and gifts, alongside subscription boxes like Papergang and Artful. As the product range expanded, so did their team, which now sits at just over 40 wonderful people.
